Artists of Minnesota (AOM) began in the 1950s, bringing art shows to rural Minnesota and supporting local artists for decades. It’s been a wonderful journey. (see our history tab)

On February 8, 2025 the AOM Board held a special meeting to discuss the future of the organization. Rising costs of holding the annual conference and the lack of new leadership have made it difficult to continue. Despite calls for volunteers, participation was limited, especially for those on fixed incomes.

After much discussion, the Board decided that AOM is no longer sustainable. The Spring Conference in April 2025 will be our final event and will mark the closing of the organization.

We know many of you are now involved in other art groups—some focusing on specific media, online platforms, or larger city venues. Wherever your path takes you, we hope you continue creating and sharing your art.

Thank you to everyone who has been a member and participated in our Shows and volunteered over the years—your dedication made it all possible.
