Demo Artist Jane Freeman: “I have been asked to speak on values and composition. That is a large topic, but one that is very worthwhile if you want to move to the next level with your work! I will be incorporating a slide show of paintings done by nationally and internationally famous artists. This is a rare opportunity for you to view award-winning work and learn what the artist was trying to achieve in the painting. I think this will be a fun and educational exchange for all of us!”

Demo Artist Maureen O’Brien: “I will be working with acrylic paints using brushes and palette knives creating textures.  I love painting birch trees, the bigger the better . . . and will demonstrate building the texture of the bark and the forest floor. I'll talk a bit about mural painting, too, if time allows.  This will be lots of fun and it will move along quite fast.”

Demo Artist Barbara Pinc: “This is a wet method of pastels where watercolor is used first, using masking fluid to retain the whites, then pastel wet, then removing the masking fluid and continue with pastels dry. It is a method that I would demo at pastel conventions for Ampersand, the Pastelbord company out of Austin, Texas. I am currently the K-12 art teacher in Red Lake County Central, Plummer and Oklee, Minnesota. Painting at right: “Minnesota Spring,” pastel and watercolor.
